Vilma Martinez-Vallecillo, LCSW

Vilma Martinez-Vallecillo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California and has over 15 years of experience supporting individuals, children, and families. The majority of her professional career has been dedicated to working in Child Welfare Services (CWS).
She has held various positions within CWS to include working with Drug Endangered Children, in case management/crisis intervention positions to include Family Reunification, Placement Services, Court Intervention, and Emergency Response Services, as well as serving as the domestic violence liaison. Currently, Vilma is employed as a Policy Analyst, reviewing and writing policy for CWS.
Vilma’s professional background also includes work in an emergency shelter for children, group homes and supporting medically fragile, high-acuity children in hospital settings. Additionally, Vilma is providing individual therapy via Telehealth, working with adults navigating challenges with anxiety, depression, and relationships. Vilma’s experiences have given her a deep understanding of trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship dynamics.
Vilma is passionate about helping children and families overcome obstacles and celebrate successes. Vilma’s diverse experience continually inspires her to support others in reaching their goals, feeling empowered, and becoming their best selves. In her work, Vilma draws upon Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
